One Month Anniversary

As of today Cody and I have reached our one whole month of marriage. Yay us! Transitioning from dating to marriage was a lot easier than I thought. But we still have a long way to go. The best part, which is one of the things we were looking forward to the most was just getting to be together all the time! We don't have to say goodbye at night anymore or try and balance our schedules or figure out where we're going to hang out. It's just so lovely. Also it's nice having someone there when you go to sleep and when you wake up. There's a certain feeling of safety that comes with having somebody there with you. Downside: I do have a snorer and a blanket stealer on my hands..but apparently I take up the whole bed so I guess we're even?

As for our living situation we have been lucky enough to have Cody's grandma let us take over the bottom level of her house until our housing situation pans out. As of right now we had two potential short sales which has narrowed down to one. We have been back and forth a little with the bank and are hoping to hear some good news by the end of this month! The agent on the other side is very hopeful that things are going to work out so we're being hopeful too. I thought I was going to have to try my hardest to not get frustrated at our current living situation but things have been a lot easier than I expected. Some nice little perks about grandma's: No having to do dishes (not that we're lazy she just has a very specific way of doing them), grandma's go to bed around 8 o'clock most nights, sometimes even 7!, thanks to the downstairs pool table we're now considering careers as pool hall hustlers, and I am still so close to home (only about 2 minutes away from my parent's house). Probably the hardest part of being here instead of our own place is having all our awesome presents just staring at us and taunting us.

The best news as of late is I got my wedding pictures!!! We went through them tonight and I couldn't be more happy with how they turned out. I was very lucky to have a very talented photographer that did such a good job of capturing the whole day! Her name is Yasmin Khajavi and I got her referred to me from Megan's wedding photographer, Ashley Forrette. Her website is ykvision.com if you would like to see some of her other work. I just love that I can relive that day through the gorgeous pictures I now have!
I only have access to the online album but once I get my disc of the files than I'll do a post including some and look for them on facebook also.

  1. Your dad sent me the link to your pictures. I've looked through all of them already! I feel like I was there (so sad that I really wasn't). But they turned out WONDERFUL!! You and Cody are so darling together. You looked GORGEOUS! I loved all the pictures. You were a total model that day. Beautiful. Love you lots, and this post made me laugh. It is an adjustment the first few months with someone sleeping next to you. Aaron has hit me in the face while sleeping. That was a shocker! And the grandma thing made me laugh too.

ty & I still like to wish each other a happy anniversary on the 17th of every single month. it's a competition we have - who will remember first. i have to do a lot of re-counting now though on how many months it's been. :) I think we are going on . . . hold on . . . 75 months!
I still need to check out the link your dad sent! I am way excited about the pics though! Seriously positive they will be amazing! I need to somehow give you copies of candid picture I have from your wedding because there may be a couple moments caught that you would like :)
